In your eye bubble eye

I always find it funny that parents completely stop functioning while their children are with them. All of a sudden they seriously can not do anything and it really makes you wonder.. what the heck do you do when I am not around? How do you seriously function in life if you all of a sudden you do not know how to text someone but you text just fine we we aren't hanging out?Well tonight I fell victim once again to my Mothers incapacity to do anything while I am at her house. It went a little something like this...

Mom: Will you start Nexflux for me
Me: Mom it is called Netflix I do not know how many times I have told you
Mom: Whatever will you start it for me
Me: If you take me to the swapmeet Sunday (we had just previously dicussed how we both wanted to go)
Mom: You are cold Nattie
Me: I am just kidding Mom I will do it tomorrow morning
Mom: You know you are not coming over tomorrow
Me: I promise Mom
Mom: Please..
Me: Mom! you know you know how to do it yourself why don't you just sign up for the Nexflux! (of course I say NexFlux to make fun)

and in that moment she just looked at me with all the love someone could and as if she just was caught like a child and says...

" I know"

I know!!! JUST I KNOW!!

So as we have all suspected in life our parents really do know how to do daily tasks and trivial things without us, but I think its cute that they don't even remotely try to do them if we are around. So here I am on a Friday night setting up my Mothers Nexflux and what is she doing? Well what else of course but playing Wii because she cannot go online and sign up for Netflix but she sure can figure out how to start a game console and start her favorite tennis game! Really though I would not change any of this for the world. I am pretty sure I have the best mother in the world

and then as she wins she looks at me and says " In your eye bubble eye" and we just laugh

I get these random spurts where I just keep crying about my Father. I can't lose him at 26. I just keep telling myself he will wake up.

Every year I look forward to Halloween and this year was no exception, I swear I need a countdown calendar like they have for Christmas... Every year we always say we are going to do something and never do, I finally put my foot down and we went to my Aunt Rachels and by we I mean my roommate Grace and the boyfriend Christopher. We arrived on Saturday and we're greeted by my Aunt and Grandmother (it was her 88th birthday just the day before) We barbequed and had a great time and then started to get ready to head out to the Rick and Mambo Halloween party (we had no idea what it was but we were just told we would have a blast) and that we did.

Christopher went dressed as a Lumber Jack and I went as Cruella...

We went to the Golden China and man o man was it awesome especially the people watching that in itself was worth the trip

Typical drunk girls bathroom shot... Hey we thought we looked good 

This last two of the night were at the end... We called just about every cab company for a ride and nope no one wanted to pick us up! Sheesh if you do not want people to drive drunk offer better cab service! We realized at that point we were definitely not in LA. Thank God for my Aunt who finally picked us up!

Of course the morning after cure of Menudo

At work today I am dressed as  Bunny :D No one else dressed up but I love Halloween so much that was not going to stop me

The Roomie and I decorated the house but thank goodness she loves Halloween as much as I do!

Very much looking forward to handing out candy to kids in Ye Ole Friendly Towne and added bonus there is a Haunted Maze next door!

I hate that sometimes I think I have the best ideas to write something and on paper they are just not as funny as it was in my head

It is the most heartbreaking thing to see my grandma cry and I can't help her to understand that everything is okay
